Terms of Service
Effective October 22, 2026
These terms cover Sherman Web Design Studio at studio.shermanwebdesign.com (the “Studio”) and the client websites it hosts. The Studio is run by Ken Sherman, doing business as Sherman Web Design, in Lakeland, Florida (“we”, “us”). By signing in or using the Studio you agree to these terms. Questions: ken@shermanwebdesign.com.
Your account
You sign in with a Google or Microsoft account. Keep that account secure; you’re responsible for what happens under your sign-in. Access to each website is granted by its owner, and what you can do depends on the role you’re given.
Your content
You own the content you put into the Studio: your pages, text, images, and the form entries your website collects. You give us permission to store, process and display it only as needed to run your site and the Studio. You’re responsible for having the rights to what you publish and for handling your visitors’ form entries lawfully.
Prepaid credits
Some features, such as the AI assistant and hosting, use prepaid credits. Prices are shown in the Studio. Credits are used as you go and are recorded in your credit history. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, credits are not refundable and have no cash value. Accounts that carry a negative credit balance for 30 days are subject to site removal.
Record store
A site’s forms and webhooks can save records in the site’s own record store. The store starts with the site’s first saved record. It is billed on usage only, with no monthly minimum: credits for the record operations, rows read, rows written and storage it uses, at the prices shown in the Studio and charged daily. Each record can be up to 64 KB and each site’s store up to 9.5 GB; once a store is full, new records are refused until records are deleted. We email the site’s billing owner once when a store passes 80% of that limit. Records are your content: they stay until a site admin deletes them or the site owner deletes the whole store. Archiving a site keeps its store, and its storage charges, until the store is deleted.
Acceptable use
Don’t use the Studio or a site hosted on it to break the law, infringe others’ rights, send spam, distribute malware, collect sensitive data you aren’t allowed to collect, attack or overload our systems or anyone else’s, or try to get around security or access limits. We may remove content or suspend access that violates these terms.
AI assistant
The Studio’s assistant uses an outside AI provider (xAI). Its suggestions can be wrong; review changes before you approve them. You’re responsible for what you publish.
Service “as is”
We work hard to keep things running, but the Studio and hosted sites are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Keep your own copies of anything important.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data or business. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending the service
You can stop using the Studio at any time and ask us to delete your account and content. One exception: if you registered a domain name through the Studio, its domain registration records, the related billing records and the domain emails we sent you are kept for the registration term plus 7 years, as required by our registrar agreement with Name.com, even if you ask us to delete your account. Everything else is deleted as described here and in our Privacy Policy. See Domain registration pricing & terms.
We may suspend or end access for violations of these terms, non-payment, or if we stop offering the service; where reasonable, we’ll give notice and a chance to get your content.
Changes
We may update these terms. We’ll change the effective date above, and for significant changes we’ll let account holders know. Continuing to use the Studio means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA.
